How to Tell When Your Animal Has Something to Say to You - And What to Do About It!

Have you ever had a funny feeling that your animal wants to tell you something and then turn to find your animal staring right at you? Well, that's one way your animal can tell you it's time to talk. Any feeling or thought about your animal could actually be information being sent to you mentally and emotionally by your animal. Normally, we ignore these intuitive impressions as fanciful, silly, or illogical. A better approach for your animal's sake would be to pay attention to these vague feelings and hunches; the chances are good that they are correct. Animals are often stoic and low key about what is going on for them, so the more sensitive you can be to any nuance change in their behavior or in how you are thinking or feeling when around them, the more you will catch problems or issues at an early stage, when they are easier to resolve.

A change in behavior, no matter how subtle, should also be regarded as a potential communication from your animal. A really obvious example of this is when a cat pees on the bed while you are away on vacation.

Once you suspect there is something going on that your animal wants to talk about what do you do? As you know I believe everyone has the ability to communicate intuitively with animals. So I recommend sitting down and having a talk with your animal. I describe how to do this in my latest book, Ask Your Animal. I also teach people how to do this in workshops around the world, so check my workshop schedule for a course near you. If you don't find one or can't make it to a course, call me to arrange a phone tutoring session. I can teach you how to hear your animal in just one half hour session.

Happy communicating!

Just a Little Love

I met Little Love, a black Oldenburg mare, a year ago almost to the day. She was a depressed horse, who preferred to hang out in the end of her stall and sulk. Whenever handled by humans, she was sullen and withdrawn. I called her "the island", because of her solitary attitude, as she was truly an island with no entrance.

From her owner, who was ready to sell the horse, I learned that the mare had already had 16 owners and was impossible to ride due to the fact that she wouldn't move, and once she did, she wouldn't turn or stop. She was also fearful about pretty much everything and hated other horses and humans. Life was not easy for this beautiful black mare.

I started working with the horse and the owner, at first by giving lessons and attempting to ride the horse. At first Little Love resisted me, just like she resisted everything and everyone, but I persisted in loving her and slowly started to feel a connection forming between this strange horse and myself.

Even though I had always been connected to animals, I had also always thought actual intuitive communication was something you had to have a "gift" for. The day I tried a bitless bridle on Little Love, however, changed my mind - and both the mare's and my life. That day I literally heard the horse thank me for "finally figuring it out" (direct quote). At the end of the ride, I got off the horse and broke down and cried. I apologized for not listening to her before that and promised I would never use a bit again.

After this experience, I signed up for Marta's beginning and advanced workshops, to learn more about how to talk with animals, and not just talk - listen, too. The workshops were absolutely wonderful and I was amazed to discover this skill I, along with everyone else at the course, had - without even being aware of it!

Ever since I have communicated with all my animals, but most importantly Little Love, and it works miracles. I am only a mere beginner in intuitive communication but already the mare has taken a 180 degree turn for the best. Our newest breakthrough is going on trail rides alone, with long reins. Little Love still gets nervous when she sees scary things, but after we stop and talk about them, they don't seem so scary anymore. I am ever grateful for discovering intuitive communication as it has changed my life. It is truly amazing what a little love and listening can do.

Seeley

I wanted to thank you for your books because they inspired me not to give up on our lost cat. On the Memorial Day weekend our daughter Freya's cat stayed at our house while she went away to her friend's wedding. She lives about twenty miles south of us. Seeley was upset because he missed her and kept us up at night. On Monday he took off and did not come back for ten weeks. We did the usual things, notified the vet and animal control, put up posters, asked around, and walked up and down the roads calling. I started to try to contact Seeley telepathically and got pictures that he was OK and enjoying his adventure, but was reluctant to come back to the house because he was afraid of the neighbor's dog. He seemed not to want to listen to me when I sent him lots of images of the cuddles and treats and comfort he would get if he came back.

After the first week he seemed to stay consistently in the same area a few blocks west. There are steep hills and patches of undeveloped woods between the houses. Several people thought they had seen him but we could never prove it. It was difficult to track him because of the dense woods and the private back yards. We put food out for him. Some animal was eating it, just who wasn't clear. We got one of those live traps but caught the wrong cat and did not try again.

Finally in August, Freya came to visit to wish her sister a good trip back. She drove past the area where we thought Seeley was roaming according to the images we got. This time he was out in full view at the bottom of the hill. She stopped and got out of her car and he came when she called. She took him to the house where he gobbled down a whole can of tuna. He was very thin but otherwise healthy. I think you'd enjoy the expression on Freya's face. He looks a little wiggly in the photo but you should have heard the purrs! Back home he is sleeping a lot and eating moderately and starting to re-establish his territory with the neighbor's cat. He needs lots of affection. He sits on the piano bench while Freya practices.

So this is a story with a happy ending. It is good to hear those. I appreciate the validation that such things are possible. Thanks again for your encouragement.
