Quote What is the purpose of a giant sequoia tree? The purpose of the giant sequoia tree is to provide shade for the tiny titmouse..Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit. ~Edward Abbey
How to Know When You've Been Heard When I teach a beginning course in Animal Communication I have people work initially with animals they don't know (either using a photo, a description, or working in person if the animal is present). The beginning exercises include asking questions of the animal that the animal's person can then verify. This process of verification is essential for people to begin to believe that animal communication is real and that they can actually do it. So clearly one way to know that an animal you were talking to really heard you is to get a response from a question you ask and to then get verification of that response from the animal's person. But what about working with wild animals, feral animals, or your own animals? That is a different situation. Most people don't have any confidence that their animals truly hear them. I have been doing this for so many years now and have gotten so much confirmation of my impressions that I am now completely confident that my animals hear and understand everything I say to them. And it doesn't surprise me in the least when they respond instantly to a very complicated request I might make. I think part of what makes this work so well is precisely the fact that I believe and know they hear and understand me perfectly on an intuitive level whether I send them information verbally, mentally, as images or as feelings. When you begin talking with your animals act as if they can completely understand you as a person would. Then watch for the subtle clues that you were heard. For example, their behavior may start to shift, they might act more friendly to you and interested in interacting, and they might start vocalizing more. Try some experiments. Ask your animals to do something to prove that they have heard you, like doing something a bit out of character. In the following two stories in the Your Stories section you will read of two such experiments and the amazing results.
Gray Kitty Gray kitty is a feral cat. He showed up at the house 5-6 months ago. In the picture below you can see his right leg is swollen. It is either an abscess or a broken leg. His leg was like this from the first time he came to the house for food. That was approximately 5-6 months ago. It looked like it was just dangling off his body, very swollen. He would hold it up and walk/run on three legs. He seemed depressed & fearful. It broke my heart to see him this way. I thought about trying to catch him and then take him to the vet for an exam. My fear was she would want to put him down because of his many problems. I feel like he has ear mites, so his hearing is affected. He has fleas, hot spots, and his voice is very raspy when he hisses at me which is every time I get close to him. He has been eating well and I think he has put on some weight. Striking pussy cat don't you think? After I took your class in medical intuition and energy healing, I decided to give the prayer/energy treatment a go on Gray. I asked Gray Kitty if it was ok for me to do this. He said it was but I must be at a distance. I walked 15-20 feet away and when he felt I was far enough away we began. When I was finished I just said thank you God for the cats healing, thanked Gray Kitty, said good night and went to bed. The next time I saw him was the next evening. I stopped dead in my tracks. I thought I was seeing things; it was beginning to get dark so I got out the flash light. I could not believe my eyes. I was stunned. His leg looked normal. WOW! Did this prayer/energy healing work? I still couldn't believe what I was seeing, so I asked him to show up during the daytime so I could take a closer look at his leg. Sure enough there he was in early morning sitting there waiting for me to come out onto the front porch. I rarely ever see him during the day, but he let me see him that next morning so I could confirm to myself that he was better. "YES" his leg appeared normal again. He is walking on it now and moving quickly on it. It looks 100% better.
Michele Fain Sweetie's Story
That night I could not sleep and lay awake visualizing the cow and calf and the fact that there was only sand and scrub where they were and no proper feed. I said over and over in my head that I hoped they would be able to last the week and also load onto the truck without being hurt or hit by the miserable owner. I said (not out loud) "Please be strong Sweetie, get on the truck like a good girl with your calf and soon you will be safe" The next Saturday came and by 6pm it was obvious that the truck was not coming. I phoned the owner and said "Why haven't you come?" He explained that he had not been able to get the ear tags and it would be another week's wait before Sweetie and her calf could come. We immediately offered to deliver hay for the week of waiting and I voiced my concern that she would be hurt during the travelling, To which he replied: "There won't be any problem getting her to load next week. I sold all my sheep last week and when I went to get them on the truck this morning to deliver them that stubborn cow and calf charged up the ramp and got right up the front of the truck. It took me 40 minutes to get them back out. Don't know what got into them!"
Six months later a friend recommended I read Marta's "Beyond Words" It was then I learnt of the power of unspoken distance communication and firmly believe that Sweetie had received my message to "Get on the truck!" that night.

This was an internet cult hit before it was finally published in book form. My friend Jane who is all about Huskies told me about it and I was transfixed. It is hysterically funny, well-written, and well worth it!
It is not ever wise to blindly trust the official story on things. Much safer to search a little on the internet and find the investigative journalists who, though expurgated from the mainstream media, are alive on the blogs and alternative media. My favorite internet media sources right now are huffingtonpost.com and truthout.org. There are lots and lots to choose from; I’d love to hear what your favorites are. Recently, I came across two items that might be news to you so I’m passing them on. The first is about the Exxon Valdez spill that happened 20 years ago in Alaska: It was not due to the captain being drunk, as Exxon claimed. The captain was actually asleep and another employee was steering the oil tanker with the radar turned OFF because it was deemed by Exxon as too expensive to operate. Exxon has lied about everything from day one on this spill and they never kept any of the promises for protecting the natural environment of Prince William Sound that they initially made to the area’s Native populations, whose livelihoods were tied to fishing and hunting. The worst part is if you go there now it might seem clean because Exxon pays Native workers to hose off the rocks once a year for looks, but if you stick your hand in the sand or under the rocks it is pure thick oil under the surface. Read more at Greg Palast’s website. He is the journalist behind this story. The second is Three Mile Island. There is now a big to do about bringing back nuclear power, since oil and coal are such big problems. So, on the 30th anniversary of the Three Mile Island nuclear event the media is claiming that it all turned out okay. The commentator I heard went on to say that the nuclear accident at Three Mile Island was just like driving a car, having the engine fail, pulling over, stopping, and getting out safely. One slight problem with this analogy: people, wildlife and pets were irradiated and died as a result of Three Mile Island – wildlife especially died in large numbers- the facts have just been covered up. The accident had the same stages, including a release of core radiation, as occurred in Chernobyl. Animals and people were born with severe birth defects, and to this day there are radiation-related mutations, cancers, and other health problems occurring in the region. Read more… |
