Happy New Year

Wish things looked a little bit brighter though….and to top it off, 2012 is just around the corner. That’s when time is supposed to stop, or history ends, or something….. at least according to interpretations of the Mayan calendar and many Indigenous and other prophecies. Most of the prospects for 2012 are not good, though after the earth changes things are supposed to get better, however long that might take.

Prophecies aside, as a biologist and environmentalist I know the situation for the earth and everything on it serious, and I think most people see that too. This isn’t just some normal process or a repeating cycle the earth is going through. The rate of extinction of plants and animals, radical climate changes, and disruption of ecosystems we are experiencing are the direct result of human activity, and are unprecedented in the geologic record. The only scientists who contest the severity of our situation are the ones who are on the payroll of the oil and coal companies and associated interests.

This video by science teacher, Greg Craven, makes it clear that, in the final analysis, it's useless to argue about these issues. If we do something to stop climate change and pollution and we didn't need to, so what? But if we need to do something and we do nothing, we're toast.

I’ve long felt that if we are to survive, we will have to change how we do everything on this planet, and even though we are far from achieving this, I am still optimistic. That’s partly because millions of people share the idea that we have to change things radically. There are now campaigns and projects all over the world to promote sustainable living, local control, and peace. There has also been a huge shift in consciousness toward animals and nature that can be observed worldwide. With the ubiquity of the internet, people can function almost like cells in a global brain, instantly interconnecting and acting together. And finally, thanks to the work of some pioneering physicists, people now understand that we have the power to shift reality with our thoughts and emotions.

My hope for 2010 is that through a combination of becoming active on our own behalves to resolve our problems, and by manifesting for positive change on the earth, we will be able to alter the severity of the conditions we face, remove blog the blocks in the way of true progress, and steer ourselves toward a future we want rather than one we fear. If you have thoughts about 2012 and would like to have a discussion, go to my blog and comment, I will get back to you there.

Monthly Virtual Practice Group

The Virtual Practice Groups- by phone and by Skype - are coming up on January 13th, and February 10th, (future dates to be announced). You need to have had a beginning course to participate. If you have not had that somewhere (doesn't have to be with me) you can schedule a half hour tutoring session to learn the basics and then join in with the group. The schedule is on my website. Pick a time that works for you. Sign up through my site and I will send you instructions for the group.

Professional Series

My Professional Series workshop is coming up in May (10 -16) at my ranch in Middletown. Sign up early as the class size is limited. In this series, I teach my entire curriculum and prepare you to work on a professional level. Re take for half price (4 spaces available for that).

Professional Mentoring

Whether you are just starting out or are already practicing animal communication, I can help you with a personalized mentoring program to address exactly what you need to improve and gain confidence in this field. Contact me to learn more about this program.

This is a story from one of my blog readers.

In response to your query about animal experiences, I have always known that animals respond positively to me. Dogs, cats, horses generally want to be with me. The horses I have ridden for pleasure riding have invariably (so I'm told) gone better, more willingly etc. than usual. One incident that stays with me is when I was participating in my first horse whispering course a few years ago. The group was checking in one morning and I was talking about an impending family reunion that I was feeling a bit nervous about due to the difficult dynamics of my family. The horses were all in the distance grazing and one horse, a recent addition to the herd, detached herself and walked the few hundred yards across the field on her own to stand directly in front of me. She remained there with her nose on my chest completely relaxed and breathing deeply for about ten minutes while I continued my disclosures. She then raised her head, blew out long and hard, shook herself and rejoined the herd. I felt as though I had been supported and empathised with and I was immensely moved and grateful to her. Her owner then said that she had had a very troubled past that included rejection, feeling misunderstood and being judged - a mirror of my childhood. Since then whenever I meet up with her I sense a bond of mutual understanding and love."
