at intuitive communication with animals. There are a few reasons for this. One is that more parents are encouraging their children to be aware of and use their intuition. When I was growing up it was the reverse; intuition was suppressed. I also believe that everyone is becoming more open to intuition because we all need to be if we are going to get through whatever lies ahead. Finally, as children we were all open intuiitvely, so children are just naturally more intuitive than adults and with encouragement they will now stay that way into adulthood.
A case in point is the following reading of my horse Mojave, done by Estreya, the daughter of a woman I did a tutoring session with.
After our session, Desiree gave Estreya the photo of Mojave and Estreya told her mom what she was picking up about him. Estreya said Mojave was:
Interested in everything. Mischievous. Fun/funny. Likes treats, making friends. Loves to imagine and dream. Great dreams. Love being noticed and taken care of. He hasn’t been bullied just always has been himself. In his past…wild. Having fun with his great mom and friends and his herd. He used to be called “crossed” he could tell when danger or bad disease were coming and a lot of horses were depending on him
This was all accurate and very interesting that she was able to pick up so much about him. Mojave was a wild mustang and captured by the Apaches. He is absolutely the scout, on the look out for danger, and taking care of everyone.
Your Questions
A reader sent in this question, which I know a lot of people have.
I receive emails from all sorts of animal programs (PETA, Ally Cats Allies, Humane Society etc.). I donate what I can when I can, support, sign petitions, even change my eating habits to more plant based diet etc. Sometimes my efforts feel like vapor sprayed into an unlimited ocean of craziness and cruelty!!! I received an email from a place that raises money to save cats with a story about an elderly man whose little gray four month kitten was cruelly killed. There was a picture blurred for people to view if they chose. A lot of times I choose to avoid looking at them (I am usually at work and the impact is enough to make me go home, crawl into bed and cry). The story described how the rescue workers who found the kitten were “skaken to the core” so I decided to look. The image was horrible but the worse part is knowing the poor creature did nothing to deserve such treatment and was so very tiny and unable to protect itself. I can also only imagine how the owner must’ve felt when he discovered this. My line of work brings me into contact with a lot of very mentally, emotionally, and psychologically damaged people, some of whom have perpetrated such acts against animals, children, partners and other vulnerable souls. What do you do to take care of yourself when you encounter such depravity? How do you “rebalance” or “re-center” yourself in order to continue the work you do? When it comes to animals, for some reason, I too am “shaken to the core”. I am a very visual person so images like this feel very real. My guess is that you “see” this kind of stuff a lot. How do you recover? Roree
Answer – Big question and due to space and time I have to give a short answer. I don’t believe we will recover from what is happening in the world until we heal the world. That is our challenge in our age, to heal the illness and violence. I think to do that we will all need to be manifesting for paradise on earth…. and believing in spite of everything, that it can and will happen. Now there is a challenge, eh? But look at manifesting in your own life. It is the same. If you let yourself fall into the abyss you stay there. You have to believe against all odds and contrary signs that good can happen and will happen. And then it does. Cases in point: I have been manifesting for about a year to find some way to help the wild horses and burros and finally found a group that stands a chance of winning two pending lawsuits against BLM. One would secure the public access to see the horses during roundups and in all holding lots. The other would force BLM to implement a humane standard of care for these animals. This group has the ability to bring further suits that could halt the roundups all together and force BLM to manage these animals in the wild. Please do visit and support them: http://wildhorseeducation.org/
I will be teaching a course in manifesting in Feb if you need a refresher teleclass in how to do it. So first you manifest. Then realize that once an animal is dead the pain is over, they could still harbor anger at those who hurt them, but the pain is over and they don’t keep going over and over what happened the way we do. Then you must do whatever you can to help, even if it seems small, it is not. All energy to the positive creates a positive momentum. Do pick your causes well as many nonprofits don’t use the money wisely especially the bigger ones. You can always send feelings of love and the intention for protection to any animals or groups, near or far. Ask Spirit to come help them. I think it also helps to realize that people who do these things can’t do any better; if they could they would. I send healing energy to them to help them be better. If you know how to cut cords you can work with the animals to cut cords to the abusers. Lots of things you can do. And when you start doing things you stop feeling so bad. Anyone else have some good advice on this?

BP and the Gulf – A friend from London said they have had rain or eight months straight and are now getting ocean streams and rainfall from Africa, something that has never happened. She is sure it is because BP killed the GulfStream by killing the upwelling and killing the Gulf.
Want to know the truth about the Gulf – Deborah Dupre just put out a book and she will give you the straight story. great reporter on the Gulf for the examiner.com. Her book is here http://vampireofmacondo.com/

HI, My response to dealing with the horrid things done to animals & the people who do these heinous actions, is to send as much love as I can to both. For the animal – I especially thank them for their sacrifice (& mostly I believe many of them have come into this world to help us heal & that may mean such sacrifices). I then deal with my anger & remember that people who perpetrate these things are themselves in extreme pain & often have been abused themselves.(which is why they don’t value life – theirs or anyone elses!) I do my best to send them love & the ability to see & feel love so they can realize how amazing & wonderful these animals are. Otherwise, I’m only keeping the anger & hate going in this world – which is the real problem.
Be well.
Hi Beth … thanks the great additional and insightful advice.
Good evening,Thankyou to both Marta and Beth for their comments about animal abuse in this world. There is nothing that takes me to my knees like the animal suffering I hear about on this beautiful planet of ours. I have cried over this since I was a little girl. Your comments about sending love and healing to the situation and all involved is perfect. Helping the animals to cut the cord if it is appropriate is perfect too. In my meditations I see and feel an amazing world of love for all;no cages,no meat eating eventually when we are more of a light body,no human hearts that are so wounded that they are cold. I focus on an amazing world of swirling colors and light and love;it is really amazing and real!Yes!! So,it’s important for us to keep healing ourselves and choosing love and talking to the animals and helping when we can!! Thanks, gals, for speaking to my heart. Much love,Marianne
I went to a demonstration once with Monty Roberts where a woman had a horse who she had rescued. It was very emotional as she said this was really the horse’s last hope as his behaviour was really dangerous. The work Monty did on the evening made an enormous difference and he gave her the name of one of his associates who would continue to help her. Afterwards the woman said that she she felt so helpless when faced with the overwhelming cruelty and abuse that she came across towards animals and felt like whatever she did wasn’t enough to make any difference. Monty replied ‘You made a difference to this one’ and that is such a valuable thing to remember if we feel overwhelmed.
In response to the question of how to deal with our feelings when we become aware of animal abuse, it’s so very important to not allow ourselves to stay in that lower vibration. Otherwise that is what we contribute to the collective consciousness. It’s all about resonance and entrainment of energies and frequencies. What frequencies we hold become our vote in the collective consciousness. When I would hear a story or see a picture of animal abuse, I would immediately pick up the animal’s anguish sometimes in such an intense way that it was all I could do to stop myself from banging my head against the wall. And it seemed that I couldn’t stop the feeling. When I started to understand how energy works, I knew that the best thing I could do for the animals was to hold a loving frequency and send that out to the world around me. Only after understanding this was I able to literally force myself to block out the anguish of the animal and hold compassion instead of intense yuck. In other words I couldn’t help the animal by jumping in the quicksand with them. It’s one thing to “get a message” about what the animal felt, and another thing altogether to take it on ourselves. So I do my best always to get back to a place of love and compassion as quickly as possible so that through the “Maharishi Effect” my energies will contribute to a more loving and compassionate world. (A world with less abuse and violence of all kinds.) It’s not easy sometimes, but I know in my heart it’s the best thing I can do for the animals and for the whole planet. So I just make myself do it. I choose to hold compassion rather than anguish and fear and pain. It’s why we came here, to be placeholders for the frequency of love.
