A flower essence that is. Flower essences are subtle yet very effective. The essence is not an extract, rather a flower is placed in water then later removed, and the water is said to take on the essence of the flower. There are essences of flowers from all over the world: Dutch, Alaskan, Desert, Australian, American, English -the list goes on. Each flower has a unique quality to help heal and balance. Essences are used for humans and for animals for every type of issue, and are especially helpful if you have a block. Essences can be ordered with an alcohol or nonalcoholic preservative.

When I do an animal consultation and feel that flower essences will help, I select the formula intuitively. I have Patricia Meyer, in California, fill the formulas. Patricia teaches courses in the use of flower essences and does both short ($58 + essence) and full ($100 + essence) consultations for people. I am using some of her formulas for myself and really seeing a shift. You might want to try it if you are looking for change in some area of your life

In Europe I refer people who are interested in flower essences for their animals and themselves to Gerrie Huijts, a friend, former student, and professional Animal Communicator in the Netherlands. Gerrie chooses the remedies intuitively and has a full range of essences in stock. I have used her formulas for myself and many of my animals with great results.

YOUR STORIES

A student and energy healing practitioner from the Netherlands sent in this amazing story. Renee is my hero!

My son was a guest with his horse at a fox-hunt (without a fox, but a lot of liquor for the “hunters”). I was there with my other two children, to take some pictures. I drove behind the whole group, and suddenly right after I took a picture of my son, he warned me not to go any further, because a horse was down after failing a water ditch jump. I went ahead anyway and encountered the woman who had been riding. I used to be a nurse and could see her ankle was broken. I told my other children to take her to the hospital. (It turned out that her leg was broken and needed an operation.) Then I turned my attention to the horse. Everyone was shouting and yelling. The horse’s upper body and head were above the water, while her legs and chest were in the water. They had put ropes, attached at one end to cars, around her neck and one at her front legs at the fetlock. Her eyes were closed and her head was on the grass beside the ditch. Immediately I saw her “giving up”. She was so tired and obviously in shock. The water was freezing but the day was warm and she had been in extreme exertion prior to the fall. The people trying to help, pulled at her like madmen while hitting her with a whip. Instantly I jumped in the water, shouting at them to stop and go call the fire department.

It took half an hour for the fire department to arrive and during this whole time, I kept talking to her, rather I was demanding that she NOT to give up. I kept moving her legs and massaging her back, neck and head to keep the blood running. I even pulled up her rear now and then under the water so that she wouldn’t get more and more stuck in the mud. I was up to my middle in this mud. I told her how great, strong, and beautiful she was, and that these people were fools and were going to learn a lesson now. I kept demanding that she help me and work with me. She didn’t react. I got fatigued and took a break. As one of the bystanders pulled me out of the water, the horse raised her head and looked behind her where I had been just a few seconds before. The she tried to rise!!!!! A women shouted, “Go back in the water, she is looking for you!” I jumped back in and started rubbing her back, rear and legs under the water. She was shaking from the cold, fully stuck and exhausted. The whole time I kept putting images in her head of her standing on the ground next to the ditch. She lifted up her head again, and a woman began feeding her apples, which she proceeded to eat as if all she was having was a nice bath!!!

Everybody yelled and applauded! A few minutes later the firemen came and instantly she was on her feet. She wouldn’t put weight on the leg she had been lying on, but after a little bit of walking, she was okay. They took very good care of her at the stables later on and now she is fully recovered. I am so happy. She is such a wonderful horse!

THE ARRGGHH BOX

Swine Flu

Looks like, yet again, the US is at the heart of the problem. Knee-jerk Idiot awards to anyone blaming the beleaguered people of Mexico for this outbreak. A US owned and operated pig farm in Veracruz, Mexico is ground zero. This is the origin of the virus; how it actually came in to being is an unknown, however, factory farming of pigs is an abomination on the face of this earth. The residents of Veracruz, who complained about the horrendous pollution from the factory farm, have been jailed.

What to do? Boycott and write letters. Send letters to the company stating that you are boycotting them and all pork. Tell your friends to boycott and send letters. Send letters to your congress people to tell them to shut down any and all such factory farms. Handwritten letters are best. Read all about it on Huffington Post, (that’s why I like this blog: plenty of independent commentary). Here is the link to the ground zero article, and there are plenty more good ones on the Huff, including articles about how vile and awful pig farms are.

I went surfing to find a blog that gives advice on how to protect against getting the flu holistically. This one seemed to have pretty good advice (but I don’t know this person or her work):

I’m so glad Renee was there. That is an amazing and wonderful story.

A pandemic or whatever they like to call it is only what humans can expect and deserve as a result of the appalling treatment of pigs (and other animals) in factory farming.
People who exploit animals inthis way do not appear to possess a conscience so the only way to hurt them is through the hip pocket. If they could not longer sell meat produced with such cruelty they might revise their ways.
My own small contribution to improving the condition of farmed animals is to be a vegetarian. There are benefits – improved personal health and no greasy washing up!

I absolutely agree with what you say, Louise. Just as appalling is the news that there is now the horrendous massive slaughter of pigs happening in many countries across the world. As if the flu is their fault! High time the disease was renamed ‘Mexican flu” as they are doing in Israel I believe.

    Hi Lyn

One problem with renaming it Mexican Flu is that then it puts the onus on Mexico which also isn’t fair. Better to name it Factory Farm Flu or Genetically Engineered Flu. Do check Dr Mercola’s site about this as he makes some very cogent points on the issue.
