Foxtails are just now drying out and will soon start blowing everywhere if you don’t control them. They are bad for dogs, as Dr. Becker points out in this post , and also for horses, as this gross but useful video shows
I don’t use herbicides so the only way I have found to get rid of them is to pull them up by the roots or cover in thick black plastic and pull later. If you let your animals go in a field of foxtails you will not be happy and you will pay at the vet for it.
